Raise much needed funds!
There are many ways you fundraise to support Operation Sunshine WA.
Take a look at some of the ideas below, or let us know if you have an idea of your own.
Display a coin donation Box for the public to donate
If you work in a high traffic customer environment you could help us by placing a donation box at the front counter or near the cash register so your customers can donate loose change. We will provide the donation box (as pictured) which includes a chain and padlock for security.
Hold a workplace collection or casual dress day
Get your workplace, community group, or school involved with a casual or crazy dress day for a gold coin donation fundraiser. Hold a morning tea, sausage sizzle or bake sale to raise funds. Or create your own fundraising activity to raise awareness and funds for Operation Sunshine!
Fundraising events and fun runs
Participate in a fun run or other fundraising event and nominate Operation Sunshine WA as the recipient charity of money raised through sponsorships. Simply register for the event as you normally would, then head over to MyCause and set up a fundraising campaign for your event and share with your family and friends.
Run a Facebook charity fundraiser on your Birthday
Facebook is now offering the option to run an online fundraiser by which you can select Operation Sunshine WA as your nominateed charity and ask your friends and family to donate in celebration of your birthday. Donations are collected by Paypal and deposited directly to Operation Sunshine at the end of the fundraising campaign.

Hold a Spread the Sunshine Event
Spread the Sunshine Day falls on the first Friday in December with the aim of raising money to support children and youth in care and to raise awareness for out-of-home care in Western Australia. You can get involved by getting your workplace, school, community group, church, or friends together to hold a Spread the Sunshine Day fundraiser in the first week of December. For more information and to get involved submit the contact form on our contact page.
Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.
